- Read SIX articles pertaining to gossip or rumors, taking notes on the articles' main ideas and most important examples.
- Write an analytical annotated bibliography containing SIX source entries in proper MLA format, each followed by an analytical annotation written entirely in your own words. See a sample here . FOUR sources will be provided for you. TWO additional sources you must research on your own. Each entry should be about 170 words.
- Check your quality. Use this checklist to ensure your summary is complete.
- Proofread your work carefully*.

HOW YOUR WORK WILL BE GRADED
A "D" paper will only include four or five properly annotated sources or contain five or six completed improperly.
A "C" paper will include six properly formatted and thoroughly proofread annotations.
A "B" paper will include six properly formatted, thoroughly proofread, stylistically engaging annotations.
An "A" paper will demonstrate all the qualities of a "B" paper but also include a total of EIGHT sources comprised of all four sources plus four additional sources.
